The free and lightweight application SysPlayer will let you work with video files, audio files, and playlist files. Load video files and the application will play them. Load audio files and the application will let you listen to them. Select a playlist, and the application will run it. To sum it up, this is a free, lightweight, and very simple media player for Windows-powered machines.

Seeing that it is less than 1MB in size, it’s safe to say that downloading SysPlayer’s installer will take little time. When you run the aforementioned installer, a setup wizard will show up and guide you through the installation process. Pay attention though, because the wizard will ask to change your default search engine and homepage.

The application’s interface is just what you would expect from a media player. At the top there’s a large, a central panel that plays the video you loaded; when you load an audio track, it presents an interesting image. And down at the bottom there’s a panel that lists the playback controls, a volume slider, and other controls. So overall, it is a familiar interface layout; you won’t have any problems figuring out the interface.

From a functionality point of view, SysPlayer puts the following at your fingertips: load and play a variety of video and audio files (support for a long list of formats is provided), go full screen, play/pause/stop the playback, repeat and shuffle files, load and manage playlists, adjust the volume. SysPlayer is freeware, which means you can enjoy all these features for free for as long as you want.

The simplicity is the best part about SysPlayer. It is a very simple, a very easy to use media player.

Pros

Downloading SysPlayer will take little time; a wizard will help you install it. The interface has a familiar layout. Support for numerous audio and video formats is provided. Load and play audio and video files; load and play playlists. SysPlayer is freeware.

Cons

The simplicity is also SysPlayer’s main drawback. Some may say the application is a bit too simple.
